ABOUT US

The goal of this organization is to educate students on social justice in education. These justices include: creating an inclusive classroom, culturally inclusive student body, respect for all students, promote a safe learning environment, and advocate for anti-racism, anti-bullying, LGBTQ+ students, students with disabilities, undocumented students, students of color, and all non-mainstream students.

OUR MISSION


This organization raises awareness for social justice in school systems and in the community. Thus, advocating for students and their families that have been historically mistreated or have not been given the same opportunity from their school systems.

Justice for Education was founded in the Spring of 2017. Originally  founded by Joseph Scarpa with the advisement of Dr. Picower, Justice for Education began. With 16 original signatures and the involvement of the 4 original Executive Board team, Justice for Education was born. Chartered for the first time in the Fall 2018, their first semester as an organization began, and history was made at Montclair State University. From there, the organization has flourished and has made a lasting mark on campus and with communities of education alike.
